For this, the candidates during the training session are taught how to behave in the health center with the doctor and patients.

Study of anatomy
The basic medical terminologies are taught to students under this subject. During the course, students get to learn basic duties that involve how to prepare patients for the diagnostic exams, taking of their vital signs, shifting them from one area to another in the health care center.

Study of cardiopulmonary and electrocardiography
As discussed above additional tasks are also involved in the duties of medical assistants. Where on one hand laboratory procedures are needed to be conducted by the assistants, they might also need to conduct EKG or other heart diagnostic procedures in the health center. For this, the student has to study the subjects of cardiopulmonary and electrocardiography which would be covered in the training.

Besides the learning part mentioned above in the medical assistant training program, candidates might also take classes in medical ethics and healthcare law because many health care centers do consider these two things when hiring assistants.
